272 Glacier Days

Short video…

Iconic Lake McDonald. Iconic Bead Jar and Jack the Bear.

On Lake McDonald, but from The Boat House, not Apgar Village.

A dramatic leap in experience courtesy of last year’s (2021) 62 days, pushing the total to 272 days-worth of Glacier experience.

Some new, leveling up hikes last year:

  • Ahern Peak
  • Piegan Pass area
  • Mt Siyeh scouting hikes
  • Sperry Chalet extended stay exploration
  • North Fork exploration, including Huckleberry Fire Tower and Bowman Lake

Note: Wrote this post before 2022 Summer season. Add 61 days from 2022 for 333 lifetime days.

i know the way

A second look at the irrefutable boundary of two massively different Earthly phenomenon.

i know the way.

As part of my premiere duty to propagate the species (like the daises), the two foundational duties include:

  1. Protect the young
  2. Teach the young

Then get out of the way as you fade and they bloom.

Teach your young how to teach their young.

Show them the way.

Read my clouds

Sensing a need to modify plans and cut the Logan Pass visit distinctly short.
Sunny going up. Decent at reading the mountain clouds (the ones you can see anyway) and something told me to descend now, not later.

Read my clouds.

Kinda like read my lips.

What part of you better get off the mountain or the weather may trap you there and make your descent wet, freezing, and absolutely miserable.

Wet, cold, and wind chill from the weather and the bike’s descent.

Be the change

Day four of no photos. Never said anything about ‘no videos’. This was from the final Logan Pass descent October 2021. Getting Spring fever for Glacier. Spring 2022 began recently. And here we are in October 2022, seeing this March 2022 post publicly. Magic? Pretty much!

One of the final video clips from 2021.

Be the change…

You are playing only for an audience that knows your full story. This is your Spouse, and hopefully your child(ren) if you make that life choice.

Be the change.
