Trust the brave hearts who do, not say

There’s always a pen in my pocket. Always.

Trust the brave hearts who do, not say.

The internet is full of talkers.

Trolls, wanna-be’s, insecure and under-confident hopefuls, plus many other angry, attention and validation-seeking people looking for a place to feel important.

Never listen to criticism from people who aren’t brave with their own lives.

Identify thought leaders and then watch what they do. Even thought leaders are vulnerable to the temptation to cash in on talk, aka theory, but not exhibit demonstrable personal vibrancy – balanced and excellent habits and rituals.

When Your Life Changes

So much to do, so little time

Bill Gates wisdom
Time is money. Time is also time.

So much to do, so little time. This is our responsibility to figure out. It may take decades. The earlier you start, the longer the magic of compound interest gets to do its thing.

i wish someone super close to me would have guided and coached me when i was a teenager.

Carving Out A Life

A blinding flash of the obvious

Orlando Motivational Speaker
Life comes with few guarantees.

Life comes with few guarantees.

Trusting your gut isn’t 100% fool-proof.

Sometimes our gut is wrong.

It’s rare.

But it happens enough to tempt us to play it safe on the really big things.

Shedding material things that clutter our home offers a rare freedom from attachment.

Fear is an attachment to people and things.

Taking risks is risky, so is playing it safe.

Experiment with reducing, recycling and reusing stuff that you are emotionally attached to but may never (ever) use.

One Question A Day?

Can we organize trust?

Speakers Bureau payment check
Paycheck deposits do not happen on a weekly basis for some entrepreneurs. And they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Can we organize trust as a competitive advantage?

Can an entrepreneur deposit far fewer checks, yet prosper in remarkable ways?

Seth Godin on trust:

Consider the relationship you might enter into if you need surgery. You trust this woman to cut you open, you’re putting your life in her hands… without the transparency of seeing all of her surgical statistics, interviewing all previous patients, evaluating her board scores.

Instead, we leap into surgery on the basis of the recommendation from one doctor, on how the office feels, on a few minutes of bedside manner. We walk away from surgery because of a surly receptionist, or a cold demeanor.

The power of a lunch meeting

disney keynote speakers
One mile cool down left to go.

The power of a lunch meeting.

Hence the term, power lunches. (a snarky definition here)

Relationships, insight, updates, sharing, fun, caring…these things make up the power in a lunch meeting.

It may seem casual, but in reality, it can intentionally be anything but.

My thank you email to her included:

Thank you for always being you. i trust you like few others.

Nothing earth shatter happened, but i do have a better understanding of not only where she is in life, but also where she is in her business.

i like that nothing earth shattering happened.

i also like that it’s clear i trust her like few others.
