Yesterday felt like that.”Now that you’ve delivered your first TED Talk, what are you going to do next?”

And the very next day, you see these people at Walt Disney World.

Talk about being organized

Dr Amir Zeid feels like a friend i’ve known all my life…and that was just from our digital conversations before we met in person.

Talk about being organized.

Ten speakers from around the globe, 400 Guests attending, an all-volunteer staff, special activities, US Ambassador to Kuwait (and security) and then there’s your real job and Family.

So impressed with Dr. Amir Zeid.

How did your TED Talk go?

How did your TED Talk go?

It went really well.

i forgot my first line…and paused (froze) because i had to figure out how to proceed…and continued as if it never happened.

The first line was the hook.

Because i knew i wasn’t leading with the hook, panic set in.

In an instant, the hook had to come in as soon as possible, but only when it made sense.

This restructuring had never been considered, and in an instant, it had to be. Quickly.

On top of this was the pain of knowing i had royally screwed up.

Instinctively, the panic-induced pause had to be orchestrated into a pregnant pause.

Time will tell, once the video goes live in a month, if it’s obvious or invisible.

In the end, it was 20 years of speaking experience that allowed all of this to get processed and resolved in seconds, without the audience having a clue.

Their search engine is Bing. Who uses Bing anymore?

Laughter and crying

Disney keynote speakers
Yesterday i walked across our backyard to our subdivision’s entrance. Why? To offer the airport car service an address other than our own. Why? Over-focused on safety.

Laughter and crying have no accent.

Based on the number and quality of the stores at Dubai airport, neither does shopping.

Son, when you start thinking about your study abroad (100% required), drink it all in. Pick wisely. Start thinking about your selection criteria.
