Daily decision fatigue goes undetected

Volunteer work
Yesterday, a single moment in time.

Volunteer work
Two boxes of food per needy family.

People just want me to shut up about being decently organized.

So i have.

Except when writing.

Ignoring facts doesn’t change the facts.

Daily decision fatigue goes undetected.

Every day, we’re confronted with dozens, if not 100’s of choices. that can impact our health.

Decision fatigue insidiously increases stress and drains motivation.

Too many decisions, too often, impacts our health.

Tired?

Drained?

Spent?

Unmotivated?

Falling behind?

Forgetting or neglecting important things?

Being unmotivated can feel like being lazy.

Thinking you are lazy is life derailer.

This may be why…

Decision fatigue taxes robs our energy by increasing stress and draining motivation.

Shedding is cathartic

dumpster full of chain link fence debris
The 20-year-old chain link fence is going to fence heaven. Yesterday morning.

20 yard dumpster
Filled the 20-yard dumpster.

Waste management dumpster
The crew of four did in half a day what would have taken me a week (or longer) to do as a do-it-yourselfer.

Pressure washing our entrance sidewalk last night.

Shedding is cathartic.

i believe stress is insidiously induced by clutter and “what-if-i-need-this-someday”.

Why?

Because shedding makes me come alive.

The margin (breathing room) shedding creates is inspiring.

This inconvenience pales in comparison to a lifetime inconvenience

orlando plumbers
At school yesterday. Will call today. The time to look for a replacement is when you don’t need to. PS. This is not the plumber who’s coming today.

Getting the chain link fence removed this month.

That’s 75 cemented fence posts and roughly 500 feet of fence.

This is a big deal.

Getting the automated kitchen faucet repaired today too.

Not a big deal, but definitely an inconvenience.

But this inconvenience pales in comparison to the inconvenience of not being decently organized.

Paper and notes everywhere stresses me

wifi outlets
Progress often always requires a time and money investment. Time to learn, choose, and implement.

MacBook Pro migration
Change and improvement require a time and energy investment upfront – benefits aren’t realized until later.

Home office
Yesterday, we finished setting up his MacBook Pro – the newest Mac.

MacBook Pro finger id
Finerprint security id now available on a laptop.

Paper and notes everywhere stresses me.

Beginning of the year (January) often brings new focus on improvements and new ambitions.

This is on top of last year’s habits to improve our focus and ambitions.

Cut the extraneous, stem the inflow

A less than 6-minute video…stuff has an insidious and deadly effect on our attitude, our hope, and our happiness – yes, too much stuff manifests itself in our physical ailments.
