As a youngster, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts was popular. i enjoyed a handful of years combined.

Being prepared was engrained in me.

An early version of over-focusing, long before i saw it applied to my Disney career.

Today, been applying it to packing for GNP.

Early and late

9-second video: Sunset hike/dinner. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, etc. Livin’ the dream.

Love crowds, love waiting, and or jockeying?

Then don’t arrive early to beat the crowd.

Don’t arrive later, after the rush either.

Why?

Because if you arrive early or late, you can literally own the place.

Ownership comes with the discomfort of following a path less traveled.

Scary or exhilarating?

Regret only sucks

Homeowner in yard — Remember this pile? Finished the pile yesterday.

Dumptruck — One truck load of topsoil between the boards, 18 yards worth.

Two people on a dirt pile — Just over a week to make it disappear.

Regret only sucks if it comes true.

In 1983, my goal was to live less than five minutes from Walt Disney World.
Took a decade to do.
Now, we’re retired living less than a mile from WDW.

Bonus note: If you cannot answer the first question, you won’t be able to answer the second. You are burying yourself. Use the frustrating ‘desperation’ as your catalyst to a midlife celebration.
