Do you spend it the same way?

Pre's rock
Unassuming. Trivial, at best, to most.

Do you spend it the same way?

Spend what?

Your time.

Do you spend your time with the same under-focused way you spend your money? (yes, making a general stereotype that most adults are financially ill-prepared for retirement)

Bankruptcy is not only financial, but also chronological.

We could have spent our time differently yesterday morning, but chose to experience the karma of America’s running legend.

Life Is Good

Ever seen or heard the phrase, “Life is good”?

Twice this week, I walked past the airport store by the same name, Life Is Good.

Life is good.  Not easy.  Not by a long shot.  But, it is good.

In fact, it’s not easy to write five blogs every single day, but I do. Have you been to Lane 8 yet?

Make your day great. It’s up to you. Expect things to go “wrong”, and roll with it. As long as you’re still alive, it can’t be a complete failure.

Steve Prefontaine & jeff noel

What do Steve Prefontaine and jeff noel have in common?

By the way, Steve Prefontaine was America’s running prodigy in the early 1970’s.  He held every American running record from 2,000 – 10,000 meters.  Every single one.

As a high schooler, “Pre” was featured on the cover on Sports Illustrated magazine.

Pre was coached by Bill Bowerman, legendary University of Oregon head Track coach and co-founder of a little company, Nike. Bowerman was the 1972 Olympic Track & Field head coach.

In 1972, at Munich, Pre was our best hope for a medal in the 5,000 meters.

Pre was a rebel who just so happened to also be a runner.  He reminds me of someone else.  Hmmm, now who might that be?
