Organize to maximize

Roy Disney magic Kingdom statue bench
There’s probably a story coming about this location. In case there isn’t, the gist is that the fence used to be in front of the bench and Guests had to climb over it.
Empty produce shelves
Empty produce shelves to start St Patrick’s day (yesterday).
stocked produce shelves
Four hours later, empty shelves are back to normal.

Setting up Cheryl’s new iMac last night.

Organize to maximize.

Be creative in your pursuit of excellence.

Be flexible too.

i missed an opportunity last night while helping Cheryl set up her iMac.

Awoke at 3:00 AM this morning and sleepily wrote some notes…

In hindsight:

notes to self bout apple training
Last night i neglected purpose versus task. Awoke at 3:00 AM and realized this. Climbed out of bed to type an email to myself so i wouldn’t lose the idea.

Here’s the reality check. Our son (19) was in the next room and i guarantee he would see the way i did it last night and the way i should have done it as vastly different. He also knows that last night’s approach is a poor alternative to delivering over-focused, intentional training.

New iPad Pro is smaller but bigger

Will the new iPad Pro (12.9″) be the final Apple product i buy?

new iPad Pro 12.9"
Smaller yet bigger.

Think about it…there’s a generation (now) that will be the first of every generation forward, that will not know what a computer is. No? Then watch…

i can’t wait until December 31, 2018 actually arrives (when this post goes live).

Why?

So i can write five blogs on New Year’s Eve for the last time.

Preparing for death is different than preparing for birth.

You get nine months notice with birth and rarely any notice with the death.

We can use this as an excuse to not think intentionally about it.

Or, you can make up something that just might help you prepare.

Like, for example, making a 10-year plan to do everything in life you want to do before 10 years from now (“now” being your start date).

An Apple A Day, blah, blah, blah….

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes – the ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing that you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things.” – Apple Computer ad, 1997

I feel like I’m lookin’ in the mirror as I read that.

Life Is Good @ 1 Push Up A Day

Life Is Good if you can do one push up per day.  Do that for a week.  Then, the next week, do two push ups per day.

Continue to add one push up per day, for every week since you started.

Oh wait, I can already read your mind, “This is stupid”.

If I fail at anything, it’s almost always because I don’t stick with it.

Over a decade ago, I vowed to accept the challenge contained in this post.  I thought, “How hard could it be.  Seriously”?

Sticking with it has created a life-changing path for me.  If you have any motivation in you, may I challenge you to read this – Hello World

Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

PS.  I did this for two years – 104 pushups in one day.  Now I do 40, two or three times per week.

Professional Speaker

Professional Speaker.

That’s what I do.  I talk and people listen.

How scary is that?

Pretty scary.   Everyone staring at you, expecting you to be smart and funny.

Because I’m hard-wired for excellence, I’m always looking for ways to become smarter and funnier.

You know, to become a better Professional Speaker.

I’ve taken to writing.  Seriously.

Overachiever?  Maybe.

Living with regret?  Doubtful.

If you’re goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough.

Audacious.  Yep!  Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂
