Without an HQ

Most of the seeds become food in the food-chain.
The buds. The future. The glorious opportunity to live and then pass on the gift of life to the next generation.
The Continental Divide. A lone bike and one senior photographer.

Without an HQ, who are you?

Let’s say you are not a refugee in Poland or elsewhere.

Let’s say you still “live” in your city or town.

Let’s say your city or town is decimated by Russian bombardments.

You have your HQ but you don’t.

Not everyone who is a refugee is displaced geographically.

You can be trapped in hell, without leaving your zip code.

Point to it on a map?

You are “here”.
Talking trash.

Everyone is in one of three places:

  1. Going through a hell no one knows about.
  2. Just came out of a hell no one knew about.
  3. Unaware, yet about to go into a hell no one will know about.

Some of us, myself included, are in more than one of these three places.

Feeling edgy with today’s posts. Could easily be edgier. Today is mild-edgy. It’s lonely to have the highest bar set for mind, body, spirit, work, and home.

To whom much has been given, much is required.

There is solace knowing these blogs are publicly private.

Mother Teresa & Jimmy Buffett

Mother Teresa & Jimmy Buffett hold very special places in my heart.  They seem to have nothing in common, right?

And yet I have aspirations to be like both.

Everyday I wake up with the grandiose goal to save the world – you know, to serve the poorest of the poor.

And each day I also want to savior the world – you know, Carpe Diem, seize the day.  Enjoy life for all it’s worth.

This makes it hard to plan the day.
