If podcasts could talk

Mt. Gould upper left. Reynolds, Oberlin and Clements upper right edge.
An “i was there” shot.
Another “i was there” shot.
Taken from 8,200’ looking North. This is our hiking vicinity today, August 28.
Zooming in.
More zooming. Mt Cleveland dominates the entire upper horizon – from left to right is one mountain. Cleveland is Glacier’s tallest peak at 10,600′.
Jody taking a couple’s (Aurora and Matthew) photo.
Might be the only photo of Jody and me at Swiftcurrent fire tower. All four of us shivered so badly we were forced to leave.

The recording quantity i envisioned is less than we’ve produced so far.

In this disparity lies an insight: Make plans, stay creative, and be flexible.

Profoundly simple and simply profound.

Additionally, i have a Swiftcurrent Motor Inn reservation for today but am forfeiting it due to a better opportunity (today).

Hiking Ahern Pass and staying put at Granite Park Chalet.

Is it wasteful to lose one-night’s deposit at Swiftcurrent?

No.

Why?

Booking a non-refundable hotel reservation gave us options as i planned in advance from Orlando.

Options that could never be created had i arrived here unprepared.

Ahern Pass is a better, and more rare, hiking option today.

As a bonus, tomorrow becomes a “free day” for hiking. Meaning we can decide today, tonight, or even tomorrow where we want to hike. Our options are incredible.

Over-focusing allows incredible options to flourish.

Organized for beauty

At sunset last night, by the Chalet’s front door.

You have to see it, feel it, experience it, touch it, taste it.

Then you will understand why i have organized the Summer of 2019 as my office of choice over any other place on the planet.

The beauty of my ideas from this Summer has paid for itself.

And i’m only one-half way through the Glacier National Park work session.

Invest heavily in personal organization

Jody and i less than a mile from our room

Invest heavily in personal organization.

Why?

It frees you in so many ways.

Personal vibrancy is possible only when you are free.

Always tending their nests

The City Beautiful, Orlando. Wrote today’s 5 posts from the Delta jet, on an iPhone.

Always tending their nests.

What?

In nature, there’s a constant tending to an animal’s main source of habitat: a nest, hive, burrough, den, perch, etc.

No different for humans.

Not really.

Some humans take it more seriously than others. These humans increase their odds not only of surviving the proverbial gauntlet of life, but thriving in the midst of it.

Taking risks, .thinking .differently, and envisioning a spectacular future are my three get-to-dos in life.

Shedding 147 Gigs of duplicate photos yesterday created a huge margin in iCloud storage. The margin is even more significant because it correspondently reduces space on Macbook hard drives.

Years ago i experimented with a (now seen as cumbersome) creative photo organization system.

This system is now obsolete.

Grateful to recognize this fact and excited to dismantle it.

Risky and uncomfortable.

Remember our battlecry, lean into discomfort.

Go.

Open that door. Make your doorstop feel useful and loved.
