Three simple things constantly required for Disney Backstage Magic

Disney Keynote Speakers
Thank you Michele for taking these photos.

Photos from the Christmas trip to Allentown, Pennsylvania aren’t uploaded to iCloud because our apartment doesn’t offer wifi.

Why tell you that?

Because this requires me to find photos to use from somewhere other than yesterday.

Randomly stumbled upon the Legacy Award folder and now you understand a “backstage” process – faced with a challenge no one knows about, you find a (1) quick, (2) easy, and (3) fun solution.

Happy present moment.

Yes, wheels up Christmas morning at 6:45am.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

And as this goes live on January 23, 2018, will we be amazed at our momentum for 2018?

We should be, right?

Today we are personally at Disney’s Castaway Cay 8:30am – 4:45pm.

Last night’s juggler is part of a week-long rotational entertainment schedule.

Marcus is funny and a talented juggler. Great audience participation too.

Dinner was, as it is every night, luxurious. The choices, the courses, the service, the ambiance – almost makes you feel guilty with the abundance of everything.

And then as we waited for the elevator, a moment – the Mickey hand.

We rarely take an elevator. But for our final 7-story climb at 10pm, we went mechanical.

The sea turtle was nice too.

Now that today’s writing is done, back to Island Time.

Personally at Sea all day again, continuing NE to Disney Island

Disney Cruise
Disney’s attention to detail. So small and “unimportant”.

Disney Cruise
Context to the smallness. This image is at your back the entire experience.

Disney Cruise
Life goes on, even while you suspend reality on a seven-night Disney Cruise.

Disney Cruise
Final photo from last night.

Today, again, we are personally at Sea all day, continuing NE to Disney Island.

Saw the news – a new audio-animatronic figure at Disney’s Hall of Presidents.

Later a news flash about the Walt Disney World Union vote.

When you pause long enough to admire and enjoy Disney’s attention to detail, it’s everywhere.

It’s always everywhere.

It shouldn’t ever be a surprise.

But it always is.

Even on a chair.

Last night’s fireworks at 10:15pm was the ship’s nightcap.

You get spoiled seeing nightly fireworks from your home for 25 consecutive years.

We still enjoyed them.

Ps. There’s something about this week’s writing that’s missing for me. Something unusual. Something new.
