Season tickets

Next to last photo last night.

Do you have season tickets?

Of course you do.

With only rare exceptions, everyone does.

Season tickets to what?

Sunsets.

Sunrises.

Cloud gazing.

Leaning into discomfort.

Having fun.

.thinking .differently

The art of struggling

Study something, teach it to a kid, learn, revise, repeat until it’s easy to teach a kid.

The art of struggling.

We all struggle.

From big goals.

From neglect.

From success.

From fear.

Should i continue writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts?

Forgetting is not a valid reason

Rather than ignore this wisp, i spent a little time with it and got lost in some pleasant memories and current hopes.

Forgetting is not a valid reason.

Forgetting means we are disorganized.

Simplicity facilitates organization.

Clarity, margin, and focus are required to thrive.

Margin means we have unscheduled time everyday to allow for unexpected opportunities and unexpected challenges.

Unexpected opportunities can include watching the sun rise, calling a friend, helping a stranger, day dreaming, or discovering a cool way to log reminders so you do the important things in your life – as simple as asking someone an important follow up question or sending a thank you note.

Day after day is a blessing

Apple Store Millenia Mall
Apple Store yesterday morning. Fake palm trees inside but most tourists never know (nor care).
New Apple wireless charging airpods
Lost a newer pair of AirPods on the flight home from Kuwait last week. The backup pair don’t hold a decent charge. Picked up two new pairs…expensive yet necessary for daily life.
Headmaster Dr. Tom Marcy
Dr Tom Marcy’s send off celebration last night at school.
Dr Tom Marcy retirement party
Tom spent 51 years in Education and retires as Windermere Prep’s beloved Headmaster.

Day after day is a blessing.

Some days are glorious, some are challenging, and some are a mixture of both.

The value of a single day?

Ask someone who’s counting theirs.

Small uncorrected things turn into big things

Food for Families
Our 19th consecutive year delivering “Food For Families”. Yesterday morning at Ocoee High School.
Food For Families
Big camera on the left. Didn’t notice while we where there at 9am yesterday.
Snowman and Sand Hill crane
From our driveway as we returned from delivering boxes of food to needy families yesterday.

Small uncorrected things turn into big things.

This makes life challenging because there’s so much coming at us over the course of a week.

Take what comes at us in only one week and start exponentially doing the math in multiples of 52.

In a decade we have 520 entire weeks of not doing something we should be doing.

In a decade we have 520 full weeks of doing something that compounds nicely because it’s a daily habit.
