The secret hack to improving your home?

The way to get better is to get better at getting better.

Sometimes one individual improvement can change every single day that follows.

In 1992, rather than block the double windows in our upstairs office, the sturdy wooden desk was placed against the far wall, with your back to the due-East facing windows.

In 2009, when i first started daily blogging, the desk was moved up against the two windows, with the chair facing due East to see every sunrise from that day forth.

One small step for jeff, one giant leap for jeff’s personal vibrancy.

Beginning the hour-long bike ride home last night.

Church at Home.

Religion is often full of habits and rituals.

There’s a reason for this.

The reason is that it maintains a standard, makes expectations and consequences clear, and allows for observable improvements to happen over time.

How we organize our home life – the structure and processes – for handling the administrative side of being a functioning member of society.

We can learn much from long-term sustainable structure and process.

We can also learn much from not being present, mindful, and motivated to change as times and conditions warrant.
