Wait, There’s More Suffering To Share

In our lifetimes, we'll see our flag at half mast fairly often.

Dear Son, the same man (remaining anonymous on purpose) in yesterday’s story recently spent his life savings to (unsuccessfully) rescue his daughter from an international abduction. We spent our life savings (with no guarantee of a child) trying to become parents.

Not Gonna Do It

Yesterday, I thought I might share what made the day so amazing. Looking at the clock, I really need to head out the door right now.

The birds are chirping, a sure sign that dawn will give way to daybreak soon.

The moon is setting.  Most people have no idea what this means.

Wanted to run 5-miles this morning. There’s time for two. Five will have to wait.

Am so thankful to be alive and have the ability to run and the ability (and desire) to write.

Editor’s note: The following You Tube video was shot immediately following the two-mile run you just read about. There’s actually a decent message about excellence that will only benefit those with drive, passion, discipline and focus.

Sunny with a chance of amazing!

Happy Monday everyone.

Having a GREAT week is ultimately up to each one of us. Our attitude shapes our behaviors, and our behaviors reinforce our attitude.

It’s a revolving door, so to speak. It’s also a habit.

And the easier it is to do, the harder it is to change.

Remember today’s forecast. Be prepared. Bring your sunglasses and sunscreen.

jeff noel Aggressively Unfancy?

Is jeff noel aggressively unfancy?  Well, one thing for certain, I’m certainly not too funny when I blog.  But I sure do try to be aggressively unfancy.

And the concept of being unfancy is one most of us have never heard of. We have, but not in those exact words.

Aggressively unfancy means, to me, a person who is not focused on looking smart or sexy.  Sort of an ordinary person who deep down inside understands that they are blessed beyond measure simply by being alive.  And that that is more than enough.

Having a roof over your head, food on your plate, someone to love and someone to love you back.  Ya with me?  (this one’s for you MDJ)

Having a car that starts every time, someone in your life who is more important than you, a clean shirt and indoor plumbing – these things make us rich.  And potentially, aggressively unfancy. But certainly not funny.  Ya with me?  (this one’s for everyone)

Thank God It’s Monday

Thank God it’s Monday.

It’s easy to dread Monday’s, isn’t it?  Why is that?  Multitude of reasons probably.

The way to beat the Monday blues?  I ain’t the brightest bulb in the box, however, there is once secret that has proven effective for many people.

Know what it is?

A thankful heart.
