Joy in knowing the future just got a little easier

Teen receiving MacBook Air for birthday

(photo: This is what a person turning 14 looks like at the end of their birthday day – yesterday)

Who is not surprised and delighted to receive as a gift a MacBook?

What began as a slightly overwhelming task became hard to edit at the end.

So it wasn’t (overwhelming).

No edits.

First draft.

Final draft.

Cryptic sometimes.

Yuck.

Sorry.

Have a beautiful day.

Dear son, we’ve talked about all too common approval addiction in society and how the parental focus for us has been on you finding your worth in what you have accomplished, not in what someone else is pleased with.

It is in our self awareness that the approval from others is no longer necessary, nor even desired.

This, son, is freedom.

And joy.

Happiest of days.

This post’s photo caption would be an example of being organized enough to intentionally write a cryptic post.

And remember the notion of blogging five-a-day, real life in real time?

This was only inspired from yesterday’s email.

We live life one day at a time.

No?
