As a passionate observer (learning and teaching), questionable practices jump out like someone jumping up and down waving their hands and screaming for help.

Cigarette smoke might be impossible to detect by a lifelong smoker, but for a non-smoker, you can smell it a mile away. You can’t help but smell it, even if you tried not to smell it.

If you smoke or have a sugar addiction, blame yourself.

Blame no one else. Blaming others does nothing for you.

Be accountable for your behaviors and then (please) find a million ways to slay your demon.

Personal vibrancy is achievable for personally responsible people.

Telling the truth is art.

On the way home from the public hearing yesterday, a Consultant friend (and former Disney colleague) called asking for advice. i pulled over and enabled hands-free conversation and then resumed the drive on Interstate 4.

One of the things Betsy said she counts on from me is that she always knows i will tell the truth. She really needs the truth as she is about to make life-altering decisions. Decisions that are not easy, and that don’t come with any guarantee.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Simple doesn’t mean plain or boring

The most under-rated thing i heard yesterday was my (International) Graphic Designer saying, “Simplicity is the hardest thing to design.” My vision for the first client workbook (under my solo speaking business) is simple and elegant – like Steve Jobs and Apple.

Simple doesn’t mean plain or boring.

Simple is (probably) the most sophisticated outcome possible.
