  1. Still working out of my home at that time, turned on Good Morning American just after the first plane hit and watched in horror as the second one hit. You knew in their voices at that point, it was no accident. Praying WE never live through a time like that again.

  2. It was such a gorgeous day here. And as I watched the horror on TV, I kept looking out my window thinking this just can’t be real. Everything looked so normal in our suburban village — except when the skies emptied. We lived near O’Hare and that was the most amazing part of the day and night — absolutely no planes on their pathways to the airport.

  3. Marching band tryouts for my 3rd year in TBDBITL. We were out on the field when the staff told us what happened. It didn’t register until I saw the video on the news at Wendy’s during lunch.
