  1. It often can feel so compelling, that nothing else matters.

    This, of course, is not true.

    But a writer must write. There is no way to stop.

  2. Continuing your thought, what I really love to do is make people laugh. Not forcing them to do something against their will. But laughter, even for a brief moment, allows for no other emotion to be felt (pain, sorrow, worry, despair).
