Patty, the paradox is that many of us think we know it all by the time we reach young adulthood, and again after we reach, say, 30 (or even 40).
At 50 plus I know there is so much learning yet to come. Though I have learned not to ask, “Am I there yet?” For the answer is an obvious “No.”
Yes, at 52, I’ve not yet experienced the “other side of 50” with any credibility.

Silly me, I thought you got to sit next to him. In my mind the parent and child seldom, if ever, separate.
Patty, a plane trip can become a routine thing for some, like riding in a different car to a camping trip.
