I’ve been classically taught the best of the best

organizing photos
organizing 1000’s of photos is pretty amazing, using them everyday is pretty crazy

This blog is about being decently organized. The DNA of my habits comes from being classically trained by the best of the best. And this post is an ordinary example of questions and answers…

Why is he sharing this? Who’s the best of the best? What does any of this mean?

Want to know what it means to me?

I recall an assignment I had while enrolled in a leadership training course at a world renowned training facility. This particular exercise involved no verbal communication until the very end. When we finished our task, we were instructed to stand up and reveal the answer to a facilitator before we could speak.

I stood up and gave my result to a facilitator.

That facilitator informed me that while I had completed the assignment as directed, I had not finished the job entirely. While I insisted I had done everything asked of me, he also insisted, in a VERY nice and calm way, that I had not fully completed the job as a leader. He made me think deeper than I thought I could think.

That night, I knew I was in the right place at the right time . . . learning from one of the best in the business.

That’s what this means to me. 🙂

David, wow. Had no idea. This is a really nice warm and fuzzy. Seriously. Especially humbled by your comment, “He made me think deeper than I thought I could think.”
