Feeling buried by the weight of all the obligations? And what about all the choices, projects, wish lists, to do’s, promises, guilt, hope, unplanned emergencies?
Flat as a pancake.

That is when I remind myself to rise up and breathe. Enjoy the moments. They won’t happen again.
Jeff,
I am with Patty on this. I often remind myself that the Bible says, “And it came to pass…” It didn’t say, “And it came to stay.” Granted, sometimes it feels like the weight of it all will never end. But oftentimes we get so caught up in the process of it all that we fail to realize that it has already passed, and we are still going through the motions of it all for nothing. 🙂
Sadly, people oftentimes find comfort in the consistency of weight. So when it is finally lifted, they seek more weight to keep them in a place they have grown accustomed to. For others, they need something else to complain about! LOL
But my new motto I have been reminding myself and my family as of late is the old saying, “Don’t borrow trouble.”
Have a great day!
Bob
Patty, what a profoundly simple insight you’ve shared… these moments won’t happen again. Wow. Inspiring.
Bob, omgosh, like Patty’s comment, yours is also incredibly profound.
It didn’t come to stay.
Getting used to the weight.
These are things to stimulate our thoughts and emotions (and actions) all day.
