Enjoy and amplify the present moment
The significance to me of the first three photos cannot be overstated.
The Last Lecture is one of two books i read in 2008 that convinced me to retire from Disney and start my own business.
i purchased this same two-dimensional map last Summer for the very fact that it isn’t one-dimensional. It exemplifies Glacier’s big picture, grandeur, and context as the Crown of The Continent.
Daisies are our (me and Cheryl) favorite flower.
Photo/painting on the wall is from the St. Mary Chalets from the 1930’s. They are long gone and few know they ever existed. But i know. Photo: Upstairs bedroom.
This may be the last time we see Lake McDonald Lodge and adjacent private cabins. The severely close fire and wind have no mercy and no emotional attachment. Photo from upstairs bedroom.
Geared up for battle.
Panorama from second-floor bedroom.
Cozy and Lodge-like.
The “Z” door (right) leads to a small bedroom with two twin beds and best view in the cabin.
Upstairs bedroom has private bath and one full-size bed.
Upstairs bedroom window. Lake McDonald Lodge Marina is 200 meters to the left.
Downstairs bathroom/shower, accessible from Kitchen and the larger bedroom.
Downstairs bathroom/shower accessible from kitchen and downstairs bedroom.
Best views in the cabin come from the third (and smallest) bedroom, adjacent to the living room.
Small bedroom has two twin beds and an awesome picture window.
Smallest bedroom is quaint, simple, and has views unavailable anywhere else.
The interior wall of the smaller bedroom.
From a bed in the smaller bedroom, looking into the living room.
Living room is exceptionally warm and inviting.
There a dining table left corner above, as well as one in the kitchen too.
Lake McDonald Private Cabins, Cabin 20 is its official name.
Washer and dryer.
Right sight facing Lake McDonald. Howard waving (or selfie).
Lower floor – windows from both bedrooms. Second floor, windows from bedroom with private bathroom.
Cabin 20 deck.
Cabin 20 deck panorama.
Smallest bedroom is the only one with a private entry.
Sprauge fire seen over Motel Lake McDonald roof. The Motel is next to Cabin 20.
Lake McDonald Vacation Home Rental Cabin is at the end of Motel Lake McDonald (not the Lodge) parking lot.
Lake McDonald Lodge closed August 30, 2017.
