Life Is Good On The Road If You Work Hard To Make It So

Jack the Bear World Traveler

Passed 300,000 frequent flyer miles on Delta. I talk to a lot of business travelers. A ton. Have yet to meet one that says, “Dude are you kidding me, I love business travel. What’s not to love? It gets me away from my Family”.

The antidote? Find creative ways to stay connected. Not gonna lie. It’s challenging. Counting your blessings is an under rated tactic that I have learned to maximize.

  1. Jeff,

Wow – the 300K club with Delta! I don’t know if should congratulate you or sympathize with how much that means you have been away from home.

I appreciate your comments very much! When I first started this job 11 years ago, I thought, “It is so cool to get to travel for work.” But that came from someone who never traveled with his previous job. Now, another child later and traveling taking so much more to do, business travel sometimes feels more like a necessary evil.

So I agree with you – you have to find ways to stay connected! One of those is keeping the routine of reading your blogs – it keeps me in the proper perspective! Thanks, Jeff!

  2. Bob, it’s a milestone I’m neither proud of nor ashamed of. It is simply reality. Glad youfind your reading routine helpful. I sure enjoy your company here. Thank you for that.
