Tiny, seemingly insignificant home modification

Steve Jobs
Stuff on my bookshelf. Do i need it? A book about the man, a replica of his eye glasses (worn one Halloween), and my first iPhone (2008, 3GS).

What’s a little home change or modification you could make today that wouldn’t have noticeable results for 10, 20, or even 30 years from now?

For example, change from spending no time thinking about the stuff you buy, pack away, or put on display to creating a visual example of someone you know who’s one or two generations ahead of you and they’ve never done this and consequently, they are buried (burdened) with a lifetime pile of useless things.
