The most admired company in the world can not rest on it’s laurels

how to be admired
it’s insane how admirably you must behave to be labeled the most admirable

Apple, the most admired company in the world can not rest on it’s laurels. There’s always someone motivated to claim that position in any realm. Always…. business, sports, music, humanitarianism… the list is endless.

Alan Murray interviewed Disney CEO Bob Iger three years ago. In Alan’s Wall Street Journal article, the transcripts reveal Bob wants Disney to be the most admired company in the world.

Ever get inebriated by a dream? It could happen, but how would we know?

Dreams know no limits nor restrictions. Dreams are not afraid of embarrassment, ridicule, pressure, compliance, limits, acceptability, etc.

Kind of like being drunk.

And yes, dreams can be scary, for the simple reason that they seem so very real.

Too real for comfort, so we awaken.

And say, “Thank goodness it was only a dream”.

Which brings us back to…

Dreams are not afraid of embarrassment, ridicule, pressure, compliance, limits, acceptability, etc.

What if our scary (amazing) dream could come true?

What if we could get drunk on the buzz from our biggest, most noble dreams?

In the end, what matters?

Prepared. For Life. The Boy Scout tagline. Any parent’s tagline too, right?

In the end, what matters? Counting today, three days left in 2012. What really matters at the end of the year? At the end of our lives?

Can we look back and say we were happy? Did we love? Were we loved? That’s it.
