The world is changing. (Duh, right?) How many of you think of a paper “device” when you hear “day planner”?

  • not enough time to run
  • walk to McDonalds for breakfast
  • check work stuff
  • set up laptop and recheck av (audio/visual)
  • meet client and hotel staff
  • greet and welcome participants
  • teach two four-hour programs
  • eat
  • check work stuff
  • call home
  • sleep

How to make someone believe you’re with the band

we were pretty far back

When we first entered the venue I told the volunteer, “We’re with the band”. Just like getting yourself to believe something important, if you say it convincingly, odds are it’ll be believable.

I quickly had to backtrack and tell him I was just kidding. As you can see, our seats weren’t even close to “being with the band”.
