But Not Too Busy

Know Where We Were?
Know Where We Were?

Of course, we are all busy. But not too busy to seize the moment. You know how challenging this is. We all do. Sometimes we win and sometimes we get “buried”.

Last night was a “victory”.

Started the day writing five blogs, with a Pastor shadowing me. Then worked a corporate job (which I love). Then picked up our son at summer camp. Then drove to the Apple Store for a one-to-one session. Then dinner at the Mall food court. Then the long drive home.

The sun was setting as we drove through town. We stopped at the north end of town to have dessert and catch the small town parade as it passed by.

Who Motivates You To Change?

World Class? Prove It!
World Class? Prove It!

Change is the only constant.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Mostly, we hate change. But yet we are surrounded by it. At work. At home. On the news. In our face. Everywhere.

And deep down inside, we know that change has many positive benefits, and with hard work, we CAN change.

But who pushes you?

Who gets in your face and reminds you you can’t quit?

Is it you?  Do you coach yourself?

And if you are self-coached, where did you learn it, from a book, a seminar, a show?  Let’s be real.

Your biggest and best change came when someone believed you could do what you didn’t believe you could do. The “coach” got in your face and pushed you, and rode you, and drove you to excellence.

Who’s coaching you now?

Or don’t you care anymore?

Prove it.

Who Remembers This? No One Probably

Small towns.  I grew up just outside of one.

And today’s post borders on “who gives a crap” and “yeah, I know what you mean”.

My Dad’s Family grew up in town, first as kids on Water Street, and then as adults on Main Street, across from the Catholic Church and Ford Dealership, with the Spring Grove Elementary and also the Junior High School across the alley in the back of their row home.

Having a basic understanding of your birth place can provide more benefits than if you don’t understand. For in the understanding, we begin to see our commonalities.

Spring Grove, Pennsylvania.  A small town. My town.
