It’s missing 42 birthday candles

Best birthday gift two days ago was a nice phone call with Mom.

Oh, and an inguinal hernia (versus something much more life threatening).

It’s the little things that are the big things.

The more organized we are, the more fully we feel the ripple effect.

We know this.

Let guilt melt away when we have a routine day, but spend it counting uncountable blessings.

Wasn’t organized enough to enjoy my 54th birthday

Evil Professor Duffenschmirtz
Curse you Perry the Platypus, it was supposed to be the best day ever.

Wasn’t organized enough to enjoy my 54th birthday yesterday. Not in traditional style anyway. Funny though, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

The Doctor’s visit could have been a real downer (and the temptation was huge). So grateful to have a reputable healthcare facility close by and open on the weekend.

And helping Cheryl prepare for the new floor installation in two days was a milestone experience. Goodbye to our 27-year old waterbed and 21-year old carpets.

Insight: Celebrate our birthday every single day. The most unusual and sometimes even the drudgery of day-to-day are the greatest birthday gifts ever.

When it rains it pours – is this good or bad?

We rush to announce “it’s bad”.

Wrong.

WTF. (wow, that’s funny!)

We get high on the warm, gentle rain of unsolicited, abundant, law-of-attraction type communication.

Email yesterday morning before heading out: “You were a smash hit, can you please tell us when you are available this Fall?”

Insight: Behaving admirably eventually pays very high dividends.
