RIP Nelson Mandela (December 5, 2013)

Two great books about rockstars
One legendary rockstar (Jimmy page), one unheralded rockstar (for now)

We make excuses, we live with regret, we get second chances, but yet we wait for permission. This might be a great time to let you know there’s a book out there that will inspire the ready person to grant themselves permission. – jn

There is no passion to be found in settling for a life less than the one you are capable of living. – Nelson Mandela (RIP yesterday, December 5, 2013)

Ferocious mix?

Ferocious mix?

People talk about Steve Jobs’ speech revealing the very first iPhone, and Martin Luther King’s I Have A Dream speech.

People talk about an ordinary person, their overwhelming obstacles, and their opportunity to push through to triumph – for the good of others.

What’s implied in either case, but not called out, in a word, is, ‘permission’.

. . . . .

It’s only a matter of time until someone comes along and destroys the notion that balance is a myth and hence, unattainable.

Truth be told, we know exactly who this person will be. And it’s someone who uses the same speech mechanics as other game changers and misfits.

Truth be told, we all have something big inside of us too.

If we are waiting for permission, and have been, it’s time to stop.

Read this book, and go.

No thanks needed, but if it makes you feel better, go ahead, it’s part of the ‘in the giving, we receive’.
