Passed 300,000 frequent flyer miles on Delta. I talk to a lot of business travelers. A ton. Have yet to meet one that says, “Dude are you kidding me, I love business travel. What’s not to love? It gets me away from my Family”.

The antidote? Find creative ways to stay connected. Not gonna lie. It’s challenging. Counting your blessings is an under rated tactic that I have learned to maximize.

Running through Antigonish, Nova Scotia last month, this hanging basket of geraniums reminded me of my German roots and my Grandmother, who always had geraniums on her porch. Evelyn suffered two strokes, which required her to use a cane or a crutch the rest of her life. Her husband Roy, my Grandfather, died at 60 of a heart attack.

Decades of overcomplicating cannot be undone overnight. But I refuse to let that stop me from trying.
