Beach music album screen shot
From a “custom” radio station.

You get to say when you give up. For me, i hope it’s never.

dad

Driving to the allergist today, Apple Music started playing a radio station “designed just for you”.

Understanding Apple, algorithms, etc, i rolled with it.

It’s good enough to continue tomorrow.

The photo above is an artist i’ve never heard of.

The algorithm knows i have 40-ish Buffett albums downloaded.

Let’s see where this goes.

Similar to seeing where months of inactivity goes.

i am grateful to be alive

Grateful to have sight in one eye.

Grateful for the Doc, the surgery center, both their staffs, insurance, Cheryl, optimism, a big yard, writing, clients, and a comfy, vacation-like home….to name a few.

Midday. Late September. Hard to do nothing but Cheryl insists. Who am i to argue?
Lizard on a Florida screen
While chillin’ in the pool just now. There’s a ton on the outside of patio. A half-ton on the inside (with us).

Today, and everyday, is a great day for a great day.

dad

Today started great and ended great. There was never any doubt. Never is.

Two cans of bear spray
We have a bear but no bear spray in Orlando.

Never envisioned worrying about walking out my door and encountering a bear.

dad

Been in Florida 40 years. Have never seen a bear, nor heard friends talk about seeing a bear.

Once a week for the past month, our cameras have captured a bear at our home.

U-Haul storage closet with stuff in it
We planned our longest visit ever for 2023. An unexpected retina detachment (caught early on August 14), and another unexpected, second, eye surgery September 14. Photo: all our supplies were waiting in the rental van. Cheryl stored them in a rental closet. See you in 2024.
Long line of planes at Denver
In real time, Cheryl is sharing an incredibly long line of Denver’s taxiing planes. Not often you are in this position with your iPhone.

So grateful for the structure and processes we currently have in place.

dad

This first-time storage unit feels like an overdue idea.

Time will tell.

30-second video: First time for everything.

i love writing five daily blogs.

dad

Note: Intentionally didn’t add “differently-themed”.

Why?

Because it’s the first time. There’s a first time for everything. Right?
