Always has been a period

winston Churchill quote
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Winston Churchill said this 80+ years ago. Perhaps every generation gets one or two “this is the worst thing that’s ever happened to our planet, we’re doomed.”

‘Tis always a period of consequences.

Some consequences are bigger than others.

And some consequences are a matter of life and death.

Here’s an inconvenient truth: Balance is not a myth.

MInd.

Body.

Spirit.

Work.

Home.

You’ve set the highest bar for each and every one?

Awesome.

Both attract abundance and unexpected surprises

Business notes
What would i do? What does the question really hope to answer?

Know what you get from being decently organized?

Abundant joy and unexpected blessings.

Know what you get from not being decently organized?

Abundant frustration and unexpected challenges.

When you plan something

Apple Pen automatic setup with iPad
Yesterday. Keep learning. Keep pushing. Never settle. Never used an iPad as my main frame. Never used an Apple Pencil either. Retiring both 2015 MacBook 12″ “main frames” in the spirit of portability and proactive change.

When you plan something and then do it, your experience will fall into three ratings:

  1. Goes exactly as planned (rare)
  2. Goes worse than planned
  3. Goes better than planned

Last night’s Disney keynote speech was well worth it for Chapin to hear.

The format changed (adding a second speaker) before we attended (and after tickets were purchased) and the format changed a second time (Q & A instead of presentation) when we arrived.

The moderated Q&A was different and interesting.

It was not what i hyped to Chapin.

We had a decent debrief on the 40-minute drive home.

Bottom line, 100% worth our time, money, and effort.

You must focus on working yourself out of a job

Today is the culmination of roughly two years of work.

The way a parent works diligently and patiently to eventually launch a child into the real world, so it goes with a Business Advisor.

You must focus on working yourself out of a job.

This week feels like the finish line is in sight.

“That was amazing”

Yesterday’s Space X launch of a red Tesla. Small light dot in left-center between brown trees and cloud.

Finished a Teacher-parent conference at 3:30pm and we walked to the end of the 2nd floor to watch.

It was so cool to witness. The ninth-grader from China was wowed.

“That was amazing”.

No, she wasn’t talking about the Space X launch.

The senior executive used that phrase as her first words following my speech.
