Today is special, just like yesterday

The beauty of today is often not in focus because of our disorganized life.

Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie, either use the china or give it away. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

The wonder of a single ordinary day

homeowner chores
Yesterday, Friday, at 7am, irrigation control panel. Have a sprinkler zone that only shuts off when i turn off the entire water supply to the house. We have to manage this for 72 hours until Monday morning.

Hunger drives their daily routine. Walking to the gym is what drove this chance meeting yesterday.

Life is hard. The Armadillo (upper left) got too close to the road. Now the Vultures have the same challenge – or else they miss a meal.

Will this new process stick? Will it transform?

We smiled and then thought, “No one cares.” Then we smiled some more. PS. By no one, i mean no Floridians.

Winter Garden Theater
High School volunteer opportunity last night and this afternoon.

Publix egg section
The Just Crack An Egg product is gone. The day before, we took eight from dozens on the shelf. In this photo, even the space where they are stocked is gone.

All of the photos above were taken yesterday as the day passed by hour after hour.

The beauty of an ordinary day

prospecting clients
Yesterday. Was actually trying to watch the Daddy/Daughter Dance video (lower left corner in the screen shot above) but the ad came on and i watched it, and was glad i did.

archery targets
Yesterday picked up our Son at the Learning Commons (aka Library) instead of the track. Got to see something we rarely see. The bullseye is a key content point in my Disney work.

Blueberries in a bucket
Yesterday on the way home from high school – six pounds of hand-picked blueberries for Easter weekend.

How long does your excitement last?

Today is just another ordinary day that we try to elevate our spirit and our sense of belonging and worth with the hype of today’s Super Bowl 49 in Arizona.

Looking back to a year ago, how long did the excitement last from that ordinary day – Super Bowl 48 at Met Life Stadium?

jeff noel Aggressively Unfancy?

Is jeff noel aggressively unfancy?  Well, one thing for certain, I’m certainly not too funny when I blog.  But I sure do try to be aggressively unfancy.

And the concept of being unfancy is one most of us have never heard of. We have, but not in those exact words.

Aggressively unfancy means, to me, a person who is not focused on looking smart or sexy.  Sort of an ordinary person who deep down inside understands that they are blessed beyond measure simply by being alive.  And that that is more than enough.

Having a roof over your head, food on your plate, someone to love and someone to love you back.  Ya with me?  (this one’s for you MDJ)

Having a car that starts every time, someone in your life who is more important than you, a clean shirt and indoor plumbing – these things make us rich.  And potentially, aggressively unfancy. But certainly not funny.  Ya with me?  (this one’s for everyone)
