Only One On The Internet?

Hotdog?
Hotdog?

Being the Internet’s only Five-a-Day Blogger, there is a certain feeling of, well, it’s hard to describe.

It’s like finding yourself in a place you never dreamed of, but if you did dream of it, you’d think it would be:

  1. Impossible to achieve
  2. Impossible to maintain
  3. Crazy (but a good crazy)

Well, after writing 1,500 posts in the spontaneous, same-day format, I can’t stop myself.

In fact, some days I do need to stop myself.

Why?

Because I want to write more than one post per blog.  “That would be too much for the Internet community to read”, I think to myself.

And then it occurs to me, “What if it’s not?”

That’s today’s message.  As you are nearly two weeks into your new year, “How are you doing with your impossible goal?”

jeff noel and Search Engines

jeff noel and Search Engines.  SEO. Search engine optimization.  Google. Yahoo, Bing. Safari. Firefox. Internet Explorer. Mozilla.  There are a ton of search engines out there.

Mostly, I use Google.  Why?  Google is the most recognized, and Google dominates search engine traffic.

Meeting with a fellow writer yesterday, he was using Yahoo. He told me that jungle jeff and Lane 8 we’re number one on the Yahoo search engine.  I didn’t believe him until he did the jungle jeff and lane 8 Yahoo searches.

Amazing.  Even more amazing, or maybe more interesting, was that on Yahoo, jeffnoel.org ranked higher than jeffnoel.com.  Not sure how that is possible.  And at this point in the journey, there are bigger challenges to worry about.

Do you have a decent prioritization matrix to handle cool distractions?  I do, but it only works about half the time.  🙂

LinkedIn Profile for jeff noel

Here’s my LinkedIn profile for jeff noel.

Who cares, right?

Exactly.  Who gives a crap?

Here’s what I think.  I think if you are serious about your future and the future of those important to you, you’ll figure out how to leverage the many tools that exist in our world.

Tools that don’t need to be invented, they already exist.

The other day, I ran into a friend I hadn’t seen in a year.  We spent an hour catching up.

He described himself as a “digital neanderthal“.

I privately felt uncomfortable for him, and anyone with a pessimistic attitude, or resistance to change.

Change is the only constant.  Seriously.

Gotta go for now.  Change is calling my name.

Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

What if…..

What if you started writing? Everyday, I mean.

What if you started exercising, even if it was simply walking? Five days every week?

What if you started reading? Everyday?

What if you started praying? Again, I mean everyday.

What if you saved some money? Every week?

What if?

Things that make you go, “hmmmmmm…..”.

What if you didn’t put off until tomorrow, what you could do today? Carpe diem, jeff 🙂
