The Fear of Living

What?

Yep, that’s our biggest fear.  But it never shows up on any list.

Why?

Because no one will admit it.

How do I know?

Because, think about it, if the fear of living wasn’t our biggest fear, why was this phrase – carpe diem – invented?

Carpe diem translates to:  “While we’re talking, envious time is fleeing: seize the day, put no trust in the future.”

What Makes Fridays GREAT?

Same thing that makes Thursdays GREAT!  EVERYTHING!!!

Happy Friday.  There are many people who can’t wait for Friday.  Why? Because they can escape from work.  As if work were some sort of prison.

Yikes.  I’ve been there too.  I mean, seriously, at 50, I’ve been around the block a time or two.

Here’s a simple wish for all of us.  While we may be tempted to complain (an endless list perhaps), let us rise above that and not.

Would you rather be dead?  Because that would put an end to all the complaining now wouldn’t it?  Then would people be happy?  I say be obsessively THANKFUL that you are alive and have what you have.  it could be worse, and for many people in other parts of our World, it is.

Biggest Human Fear Is…

The world’s biggest fear is…… drum roll please………..

Wait.   Before we reveal it, you all know the fear of death is number two, right?

And you know I’ve been a Professional Speaker for ten years, right?

Well, here’s a surprise.   All studies say Public Speaking is our biggest fear.

I completely disagree with the scientific data.

The biggest fear we have?

It’s not the fear of dying, it’s actually the fear of living.

Think about it for awhile.  If you deny this, then go out and do it.

Is Life a Beach?

Definitely!

It’s nice to see me laugh. I am such an intense person. But deep own inside, I’m just like our eight-year old son. Childish!

Happy Birthday Disneyland

Happy Birthday, Disneyland.

July 17, 1955.

Walt Disney couldn’t have envisioned how unbelievably successful his business philosophy would turn out.

The World is a better place, I think, because of his creativity and dedication to quality.

I’ve applied those two concepts to virtually every aspect of my personal and professional life.

Not only is the World better, but I think I’m better too, because of Walt Disney.

Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂
