If your goal isn’t impossible…

Muhammad Ali Center Louisville
First glance at The Muhammad Ali Center. Stumbled upon it during an after dinner walk through Louisville.

Walked for about 90 minutes after dinner.

Muhammad Ali Center Louisville
Always curious, so i got a closer look.

Muhammad Ali Center Louisville
Discovered a garden there, with our favorite flowers.

The Muhammad Ali Center was much bigger than it first appeared.

Looking through some of the Center’s windows.

Muhammad Ali Center Louisville
Seemed insignificant, until i paused long enough…

Guessing this was his.

In between some of the wall murals…a busy (hectic) life.

“The greatest” died two days ago (June 3). Little did i know two weeks ago as i snapped all these photos that his life was coming to an end.

If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough.  – jeff noel

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

What’s impossible in your life?

Disney leadership book storyboard
Had a storyboard epiphany. This storyboard is from 2009-2010.

What’s impossible in your life?

Take solace in remembering that something is impossible only until the first person does it.

Can i write a (Disney) book a month for the next six months?

Insight: A book is exponentially easier to write when you use storyboards to organize your thoughts.

Never in a million years

Disneyland Hotel
Minutes after checking in, we checked out our view of Disneyland and Downtown Disney.

Walking back from Downtown Disney at Disneyland.

If you asked me how many consecutive days i’ve blogged or how many total blog posts i’ve written, i couldn’t tell you.

So please hold on a minute while i do some math.

Ok:

  • 2,487 consecutive days to date
  • 12,435 total blog posts to date

Crazy to remember two things:

  1. Deep down, i didn’t think i could make it 100 straight days.
  2. i never had any intentions of blogging past the 100th day.

Certain life events happen to remind us that we are limited by our beliefs. So be careful what we believe.

Can’t tell you and you’d never believe it anyway

Florida mailbox with good news
The payoff for hard, relentless work? A check in the mail. A big check.

How does one organize themselves to be able to spend two hours writing each morning – without a single exception – for six consecutive years?

Can’t tell you, it’s a secret.

You’d never believe it anyway.

Tomorrow ends the sixth year. Day after that begins the seventh year.

The secret isn’t a secret by the way.

People won’t believe that either.
