The pressure to conform to the proven formula

consulate guidelines
From someone’s LinkedIn status update this morning. What about all three? Impossible?

The pressure to conform to the proven formula is strong enough for us to never attempt any other way – to not forge our own path.

Creating a new path is literally guaranteed to be laborious, expensive, and risky.

Plus, clients don’t like an unproven path.

Consider though that the new path could (and should) be faster, economically advantageous, and the turning point for your company’s (and your) future.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

It’s like the 2007 unveiling of the iPhone

Not expecting nor encouraging anyone to watch Steve Jobs unveil the iPhone in 2007, but it’s here if you want to.

The effort to get a business set for scalability is exciting, and a ton of uncommon work.

If it’s done properly (intentionally and brilliantly) it’s like the 2007 unveiling of the iPhone.

Game changing.

That’s what i’ve been working on consistently since retiring from Disney eight months ago.

Slowly. Deliberately. Intentionally. Creatively.

To unveil a product and approach no one else in the world offers.

A category of one.

Bold?

Bold is as bold does.

Was this slogan viewed as a grand slam or was it casual at first?

Life is good.

No one becomes a game changer in a bliss of certainty.

Boldness has genius.

We know this.

Yet we play it safe from the sidelines.

Until, one day, hopefully, we don’t.

Go.

Every morning jeff writes five different, short, and pithy posts about the challenging and wonderful balance between:

mind • body • spirit • work • home

All five websites are seamlessly connected by a convenient and easy to click link to go to the next topic.

Baylor is famous for many things, including Michael Johnson
There is no track & field complex on Baylor's main campus (what the heck)

jeff noel studied the Baylor University campus map, rubbed his eyes, looked again and mumbled softly, “Where the heck is the track?”

Spotting a couple students shooting hoops, noel soon got directions. I-35 South, right on Valley Mills, another right at Katie’s Frozen Custard, it’ll be on that road, can’t miss it.
