Do you still send Christmas cards?

Three different messages in each pack, allowing for some audience personalization without having to buy multiple boxes.

Do you still send Christmas cards?

Do you send them digitally or do you still send old fashioned paper cards using snail-mail?

Wait, it gets more interesting.

Do you secretly believe that the size of a Christmas gift price tag reflects how much you love someone?

Yes. Totally believe this. Christmas is that one time – even bigger than a birthday – when if ever there was a time to be extravagant, it’s Christmas.

But.

Come on people.

You can’t be serious.

What about…

We’ve heard this story since we were kids, “shall i play for you pah-rump-pah-pah-bum.“

Christmas means nothing

walt disney dna
Walt was a genius at telling stories.

Christmas means nothing.

What?

America stereotypically creates a retail frenzy (lasting 60 days) right after Halloween, peaking on black-Friday and cyber-Monday, and continuing even after Christmas day with clearance frenzy.

Back to what.

Christmas means nothing without Easter.

Easter retail is amateurish compared to Christmas shopping.

In a busy, distracted world, it’s tempting to miss the awe and wonder of Easter.

What are you thinking about today that’s 60 days from today?

school project in kitchen
The other night working on a school project that isn’t due for a couple more days.

What are you thinking about today that’s 60 days from today?

Well, to be exact, 62 days from now is Christmas morning.

Writing two months in advance inspires me.

Can you inspire yourself?

Be organized with life’s five big choices and you will astonish yourself.

But you must be organized.

PS. You may still astonish yourself if you aren’t organized but it will revolve around how disorganized you are.

It’s the age-old tale of consequences: reaping what you sow.

Give Uncle Sam his fair share

IRS estimated tax payments
Last night the website rejected the payment. This Christmas morning at 3:30am (as we prepared to leave for airport) it worked.

Give Uncle Sam his fair share.

Taxes are poignant when you send a lump sum payment every three months on quarterly revenue.

i have to believe Santa uses a third of my revenue in the best possible ways.

Stay focused in 2018

Highline Trail
Summer 2016, hiking Glacier National Park’s Highline Trail. Looking forward to hiking it again in 2018.

Stay focused in 2018.

Tons of distractions.

At the top of the list:

Fear, doubt, competing priorities.

Stay focused.

Your clock is ticking.

Live like you mean it.

Go.
