jeff noel and You Tube Video

Jeff Noel has just posted his very first You Tube video.

It’s a short and interesting one.

We can so easily see other’s blind spots, yet our own are impossible for us to see.

jeff noel – World Class Wednesday?

jeff noel – World Class Wednesday?

OK, so I missed posting yesterday. Sorry.

It actually felt good to skip a day.

Trust me though, it wasn’t intentional.

But once I realized it was going to happen, I found that letting go of the expectation, even for just one day, felt healthy.

If you’re new to jeff noel.com blog, here’s the deal. I post five blogs every single day.

Classic over-achiever.

Or said another way, building a foundation, a base.

In running, we call it conditioning. Early season workouts focus on building a great cardiovascular system as well as strength training and flexibility training.

All three combine to position the runner for the racing season, when quantity gives way to quality.

So for now, it’s about quantity. It’s about building a strong base, or foundation.

Ya with me?

Classic over-achiever? Maybe. Maybe not.

Perhaps, I’m just a guy focused on excellence. Remember what I told you Tiger Woods told me?

He simply said, “Out work ’em”, when I asked him for the most important piece of advice for anyone wishing to become world-class.

So, today, will you run with the pack, get left behind, or clearly outdistance your competition?

The choice is yours. Always is. Always will be. Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

This is a followup to last night’s post on Apple versus Microsoft.

I LOVE my Toshiba laptop and my Internet connection.  It works fast, is very reliable, and I am very good at it.

What intrigues me about Apple?

It’s understated simplicity.

It’s vision to compete, even though the market clearly shows it as the underdog.

Humans don’t like change.  Apple IS change.  The iPhone IS change.

Bob Dylan once said, “He who is not busy being born, is busy dying”.

Who is changing faster, better?   Microsoft or Apple?

May I challenge you to evaluate your attitude toward change and give yourself an honest grade?

Make today a GREAT day to consider change as a theme and act.  Because if you don’t, who will?  If not today, when?  Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

MacBook, Excellence and Change?

MacBook, Excellence and Change?

In an ongoing effort to be excellent, I bought a MacBook on Saturday.

Friends and colleagues have told me for years that Apple computers are way beyond a Microsoft Windows Internet experience.

I thought, “How different could it possibly be“?

In a nutshell, here’s why I went Apple

Intuition!

After recent “pressure” from a few friends and some simple Disney continuous improvement tactics, I determined that hands down, the iPhone is my next phone.

When I started to see gigantic differences between an Apple iPhone and other phones, I took a quick look at Apple computers.   Know what my first reaction was?

WOW!

Expensive?

Yes.

Cheaper options?

Yes.

Than why?

This is one of those times where I think to myself, “If I have to explain it to you, you won’t understand“.

While Apple’s market share is pale compared to Microsoft, it won’t be forever.

MacBook, Excellence and Change?   Damn straight!

Change yourself to change the world?

Change yourself to change the world?

I went to the Apple store yesterday.   It intrigues me that Apple has forged a path, different then the status quo.

This challenges me to learn about Apple or not learn about Apple.   I have choosen to learn.

It dawned on me that the secret to success is having the right attitude.  And that the right attitude can be significantly influenced when there is a compelling reason.

Being a role model to my family is very compelling to me.   The moral – never stop learning.  Find a way to keep pushing your understanding, without sacrificing your core, your root values.
