Questionable practices

Candy shelves
Sugar addiction is a questionable practice.

Questionable practices.

As a passionate observer (learning and teaching), questionable practices jump out like someone jumping up and down waving their hands and screaming for help.

Cigarette smoke might be impossible to detect by a lifelong smoker, but for a non-smoker, you can smell it a mile away. You can’t help but smell it, even if you tried not to smell it.

If you smoke or have a sugar addiction, blame yourself.

Blame no one else. Blaming others does nothing for you.

Be accountable for your behaviors and then (please) find a million ways to slay your demon.

Personal vibrancy is achievable for personally responsible people.

Fear gives way to action

Lake McDonald view
You can take this photo from your car, from the very spot i took this. i happened to be holding an ice cream cone while walking down to the dock.

Fear gives way to action.

Dear Son, yesterday you said you were nervous because you didn’t know how to address the credit card erroneous charge issue.

And then you found the motivation to try, and literally instantly solved it.

Motivation is the key to everything. Well done.

“Congrats and thank you”, says your future self in 10 years

Kane Brown
Last night (7:22pm), stumbled upon this.

A decade from now, your future self is going to thank you for something you did this month.

You did something new.

Something different.

Something better.

And it may even have been the elimination of a tendency or habit you had. Stopping something is also new. Also a seed.

Either way…

You planted the seed of a new habit.

“Congrats and thank you”, says your future self in 10 years.

Be mindful that knowing and doing are opposites

the new mindfulness
What does this mean – the new mindfulness? Photo: yesterday at the grocery checkout lane.

strategy vs execution
Theory looks super amazing on paper. Yesterday on Twitter.

strategy vs execution
What you know is meaningless if you don’t create world-class habits from your knowledge.

To know is to do. To know and not do is to not yet know.

Brilliant strategy is worthless without the personal wherewithal to create, improve, and sustain transformational change.
