This One Is Just Nutty

Sunday’s, throughout history in most modern Christian cultures, are reserved for the sabbath – a day of rest.

Western culture seems to find this counter productive.

Do you struggle with it? I sure do.

Am working diligently to change that.

Once I get to 3,000 blog posts, I’ll no longer write posts on Sundays.

Lorie Sheffer has already become a regular Sunday Guest Blogger at Mid Life Celebration.

My other 4 blogs are open for a regular Guest Blogger, or a rotation of Guest Bloggers.

Meanwhile, nearing that 3,000th post milestone, these “Sunday’s in August” You Tubes are a transition. This one is just nutty.

    Wow dude…huge.

Some people don’t frequent businesses, so as not to promote working on the Lord’s Day.

    Never thought about blogging.

    How far away is 3000?

  2. jeff says:

Craig, yeah, working 7 days every week was the price I was willing to pay.

After 18 months, the 3,000 post should be surpassed.

Will have to do a little math, but roughly in another month.

And talk about crazy, I’d like to stop writing on Saturdays too.

Five days a week is a full time job. :)

    Thanks for visiting.

Sounds like someone is planning for retirement…=)

  4. David says:

2713, to be exact. But who’s counting?

Is there a difference between stopping and quitting?

  5. craig says:

Definitely a difference between stopping & quitting.
I think it all comes down to planning, which commands a type of respect.
Quitting = stopping because you can’t handle it or didn’t recognize what you were getting into. The alternative is recognizing changes or possible effects and making a choice to address them.

  6. jeff says:

    Craig, definitely planning.
    Stop working? No way.
Do it differently at 55? Sure. Why not?
Best time to plan is when you don’t need to. :)

  7. jeff says:

David, looks like 57 days @ 5-per-day. Longer than I thought.
    Stop writing on Sundays? Yep.
Stop posting on Sundays? I didn’t say that. :)
I do not know the meaning of quit.
    What is quit?
I need to take back some of the Family time that was sacrificed.
