You know what’s interesting is how balance seems like a myth.
And why not, right?
How many people do you know that have it?
You’d think in a Magical place like Walt Disney World, with it’s 74,000 Cast Members and world class leadership, there’d be an abundance of ‘balance’ role models.
Everyone’s familiar with the price that must be paid for world class.
It’s hard, grueling work. The relentless pursuit for continuous improvement.
Very little balance.
In 2000 when i became a dad, i took matters into my own hands, and in 2009 it finally came together.
My book is the personal leadership architecture for balance.
You’ve never seen such a profoundly simple and simply profound model.
The book is not part of my platform for speaking about The Disney Way. However, everything i learned and taught at Disney made the book’s content more compelling.
The book is also a personal mission to challenge 80-million Baby Boomers to do something great before they die.
Mid Life Celebration:
rethink • reprioritize • recommit
This short, pithy book destroys the worn-out notion that balance is a myth.
Life has five big choices.
And this book explores them in brilliantly simplistic, yet remarkably compelling context.
Written by a father to his young son in case something bad ever happened to the dad, the message is transforming adult lives.
It’s both a loving hug and a kick in the as$.
It addresses excuses, regrets, second chances, and permission.
