Twitter turned 10.

What i want to know is how did Twitter survive what nearly every single other social media platform failed to survive at.

Now is the time for the 9th grader to do it

It’s my responsibility to teach him things school and Church will never teach.

 

Multiple ice-breakers from the past week are under my belt in an effort to challenge a 9th grader to write his first book before he becomes a sophomore – he’ll have April through August.

(i also, prematurely, challenged him back in first semester to publish before 9th grade ended)

So now is the time to do it.

He wants to be a writer.

Writers write books.

Might as well get the first one done early.

It will make the second one so much easier.

Wait. What?

i think i hear the echo of my own voice.

Cool.

If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough

Some pieces falling into place for my next impossible goal:

The habit of two hours of daily writing (seven days a week).

Check.

More than enough content for six different Disney Business books.

Check.

A transformational and portable storyboard process to make writing streamlined and focused.

Check.

An irrepressible desire to help people solve their unsolvables.

Check.

A publishing process that’s affordable and efficient.

Check.

An indomitable will.

Check.

What’s impossible in your life?

Take solace in remembering that something is impossible only until the first person does it.

Can i write a (Disney) book a month for the next six months?

Insight: A book is exponentially easier to write when you use storyboards to organize your thoughts.

Mistakes layer my foundation

Client texted to ask if i got a good seat for the flight home. i responded with this photo.

 

Writing about my high personal expectations and the ability to consistently deliver on those is not boastful, although it feels that way.

What’s critical to remember is that the way i got so good at what i do is because i’ve made more mistakes than anyone else.

As sales pitches go, i’d say yesterday’s (first one ever) was packed with more “i’ll never do that again” than it was with “that worked brilliantly”.
