Change has many enemies

Learn to code

Computers are going to rule the world and code is the only thing that will allow this to happen. Time to learn a new language?

Change has many enemies. No one can explain why except like this, “People hate change”.

Okay. Got it. People hate change. But we all love progress when it benefits us.

Here’s why we are such knuckleheads. Progress only comes from change.

If our head wasn’t attached…

Haven’t been on a plane in seven weeks

Orlando WordPress Meetup at Canvs downtown

The message here is simple. Live like you mean it. Even when surrounded by an ordinary life filled with ordinary days.

Haven’t been on a plane in seven weeks. Normally in seven weeks, would have been on a plane between four to six of them.

Since retiring six weeks ago, Jack the Bear – who went on every Disney Institute trip – hasn’t been out much.

Just because we are local now, doesn’t mean we should just sit around.

Being creative, hopeful, driven.

Being fearless, with some practical constraints, from representing one of the world’s most admirable companies.

These are characteristics of people who are labeled crazy, weird, misfits, outcasts.

Being compelled to ask questions everyone should have ready answers too, but when asked, leaders become quiet, embarrassed, and even quietly angry.

Fun is in the home freedom.

It’s astonishingly staggering the space we make in every corner of our lives when we clean out the corners of our drawers, closets, and other living spaces.

In two words – extraordinarily freeing.

Being free is fun.

Having fun is a big part of why we exist.

No brainer, eh.

Busy, busy.

The team MLC is organizing will have many former Disney Cast Members. Why? Because they “get it”.

The team will also be diverse. Because it’s the Disney Way.

The team will also have impeccable morale values.

Why?

Because we see what we focus on.

An amazing future of contribution.
